Vince Gill and Patty Loveless Powerful and Emotional duet at George Jones' funeral, Go Rest High on the Mountain

My mother loved Vince Gill.  I became a fan of his through her and through the years, I came to think of him as not only a great artist with a truly gifted voice, but a great man, a Christian, a good father, a good family man.  I first heard him sing this song on a video with Ricky Skaggs and Patty Loveless.  I am big fans of them, as well.  I learned later that Vince Gill had started writing the song following the death of Keith Whitley and finished the song following the death of his older brother, Bob.  The song went on to win many awards and I have heard many people say that it is a song they have seen played at funerals.  The song is a eulogy, a celebration of life and the final reward of everlasting life. You might want to grab a Kleenex before watching.  Rest in Peace George Jones.  Your life was indeed troubled but you gave so many people joy through your music.  We will remember you.
